NCN route 4 crick to caerwent - good use of verge to separate traffic from cycle path. Warning though lots of thorns from hedge cutting.

Approach to the Severn bridge from the west - the track to the right runs along the north side of the bridge, but to follow the Sustrans route to Bristol you should go left and under to the south side.
